Prepare to be enchanted at this family-friendly evening of storytelling and music with Palestinian storyteller Fidaa Ataya and Little John Nee at Kinvara Courthouse (KAVA space).

Tickets are €5 for adults / €3 for children and teenagers and will be available at the door.

FIDAA ATAYA, from the village of Kafr Nima near Ramallah, will perform her fantastically compelling version of the traditional story, The Doma Tree. Last year she wowed audiences in the Edinburgh Fringe, winning standing ovations.

“Fidaa Ataya is a compelling traditional storyteller who works in English and Arabic. She is absolutely the best class of storytelling performer and her work deserves a wide, international audience. ”
– Award-winning British playwright David Greig:-

LITTLE JOHN NEE combines lyrical comic storytelling with original music and songs played on a variety of intriguing instruments, creating magical soundscapes:

“There are parts of Ireland that are less explored than the moon that’s where I go to get my songs”

Little John is widely regarded as one of Ireland’s leading solo theatre performers, and his theatre shows have received critical acclaim, both in Ireland and internationally.

“A force of nature that lifts the heart like a tornado!”

This event is part of PalFest Ireland Friday 8th – Saturday 16th July 2016 PalFest is a volunteer-run arts festival organised by Irish Artists in support of Palestine to demonstrate solidarity between the Irish arts community and the people of Palestine.
