Stand Up For Humanity!
Roll up, roll up! Galway One World Centre is delighted to host a weekend comedy training workshop with the wonderful Aidan Killian, fresh back from Edinburgh. This free event is for anyone with a passion for a good cause – no megaphones or comedy experience required. The weekend training will be followed by a comedy gig performed by the participants, with proceeds going to their charity or cause of choice.
WHEN: The weekend workshop runs from 6 – 9pm on Friday 12th September and 10am – 6pm on Saturday and Sunday the 13 and 14th September. Participants will attend the full weekend.
Participants will then take the stage at the Stand Up for Humanity gig from 8-10pm on Monday 15th September. Proceeds will be shared between a number of charities nominated by each of the participants.
VENUE: The training is at NUIG Huston School (beside the Centre for Human Rights)
The Monday night gig will be at Roisin Dubh, Galway.
COST: Normally there is a charge €300 for these courses, but Aidan will be offering the Galway training for free. All proceeds from the gig will go to charities nominated by the participants.
WHO: You just need to be available for the full weekend training, and for the gig on the Monday night, and you would commit to selling 20 tickets for the show – which will also raise money for your cause.
